Then click on projects, then click on Lusail.  This brings up the development pictured at left.  Hmmm, reminds me of Everett Dirksen’s quote about Lyndon Johnson’s first $100 B budget, ‘a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you are talking real money!’

There is a special advertising section in Forbes   promoting the investments Qatar is making to improve the country.  Indeed Forbes held its CEO Middle  East Forum at the Four Seasons  in Koha, Qatar.  Click on Forbes to see the entire section. 

There are severa points to be made here. The Mid East is finally seriously investing its money on its own future.  And it is working attracting investment capital and MONEY to the area.  To the extent this requires Mid East leaders to help foster a more peaceful world, surely this is a good thing.   It’s a cinch we won’t see Hamas doing anything like this.  No doubt you have seen photos of the fabulous development underway in Dubai, including he indoor ski run.  Have you seen the latest coming in 2008, yep the $1B AED Dubai Ski Dome.   Next time you fill up at least you will understand the money is going for a great cause!

Now think about the recent posts showing that NYC is losing its financial leadership to other parts of the world.  This indeed is a new world order.
