The Center For Audit Quality is runing a tv ad you might have seen. The ad features a yong lady suggesting that she is the investor’s best friend, she is a public company auditor.

This I think speaks to the scrutiny the profession is now feeling from PCAOB.
I think the job the Center for Audit Quality is trying to do is a great one. Because, yes, a lot of companies “Cook the Books.” And by Beth Ann Reese and others like her at the auditing companies, it allows the true facts to be shown about the companies financial statements. I think it is best to “challenge, question, and verify.”
