Increasingly employers are interested in 'extra curricular' employee activities.  Increasingly employers are doing searches of You Tube and such sites looking for inappropriate behavior.

Paxton
Well that just happened to the President of Iowa Central Community College.  Robert Paxton will receive a $400,000 severance package but will no longer be President of that school.  We caution readers to be careful both what they themselves post and what others might do. And, well, the old saying still holds, if your Grandmother would not be comfortable in a situation, you should probably not be there either.  The photo appeared in the Des Moines Register.

Nothing illegal going on. Sad that people have to live in fear of offending people who are really uptight. 4th of July and he can’t even have some adult beverages? What has happened to this COUNTRY?!!

I thnk symbolism has won the day here, colleges rea increasinlgy called on to oppose binge drinking and for good reason, this has led to some unexpected conclusions such as college presidents voting for 18 yr old drinking in hopes of better controlling it, or at least, eliminating the temptation as a forbidden vice
The photo of the President publishede in the biggest paper in Iowa was a contradiction of the story colleges are selling, responsible behavior,
We will follow this and see how long it takes Paxton to find another job, this will probably need to die down a bit first…
