Bill Clinton had one or two appointments stumble over the nanny issue as did George Bush. Now Barack's pick for Treasury Secy. I will be posting such articles when they are relevant to what we discuss in class. I am not being critical of Barack's appointment, Read the article and it mentions pas such problems for other presidents.
My point is that the best and brightest cannot manage to comply with the complex tax regulations we have, why not make this a simpler system with fewer rules and regs. If these guys like Tim and Linda Chavez cannot get this straight, just how many folks out there are having the same problems?
This strikes me as an ethical problems exacerbated by seemingly endless complex tax laws. It is not clear to me for example why Tim would owe SS tax on earnings that should have been subject to SS witholding.
