This op ed piece in the WSJ

makes it clear the economy looks like 1082. The continued comparisons to the Great Depression are inaccurate and only fueling less and less confidence.  Indeed we had more banks go broke in Odessa Midland in the late 1980s than have gone broke in the US this year.

Time to stop campaigning and start governing.

This is a great article. That seems to be all you hear now, in the news, on the radio and on advertisements… that we are heading into an economic downfall to the likes of the great depression and it is terrifying. So much so that, I along with, I’m sure many others are starting to save more and spend a lot less. When it’s repeated 100 times through out the day then it sets in the mind. Just turn on the radio and you hear a sales ad that you should jump on during these “tough economic times” I’m not saying we should be blind but, we shouldn’t be feared into making decisions. It’s almost as if you have to turn off the radio and tv just to clear your mind.
