When are people going to realize that consumer spending is what drives this economy and holding on to their money or cutting back will continue to have an negative effect.

As soon as they have some money to spend, it is now dawning on people that they have been spending money that was not theirs

I am sure either of my grandfathers would have hit me in the head if I had suggested we ‘borrow money, use a credit card’ to buy lunch. Yet every day lots of people do just that.
This correction is correcting at least the excess since 1974 if not 1913 when the FED was created.
