Trump Buys WWE Raw

You got to hand it to Trump, he usually has his finger on the action. We have written how the mood of America has turned decidedly negative. Wrestling is  a sort of come hither negative, the good guy versus the bad guy, all hype and some action. Roller Derby became popular during the 1930s. Wrestling was popular also. And so The Donald buys into wrestling. 

Picture 6Her name is Kelly kelly. Trump is refunding the ticket price to attendees on his opening night here in Green Bay Wisconsin. Free, always is a crowd pleaser in a recession. Free tickets, lots of showgirls and show off guys, something for everyone, the perfect diversion for a crowd bored with negative news. 

We'd rather be McMahon the seller….

    This has to be a joke, I mean I know trump has the money to do whatever he wants but why would he want raw? Is wrestling even popular anymore?

    I don’t know about wrestling being popular.. but you have to admire the guy for dabbling in almost every part of business from real estate to RAW. It’s amazing! I would love to pick at this guys head for like a week to find out what his methods are. And week probably wouldn’t be an efficient amount of time to learn everything from him…

    Didn’t his casino company just recently file for bankruptcy? How did he manage to scoop up part of raw?

    Actually I would love to know if he is actually worth anything or if he just has his lenders afraid to ask.. Trump may well be a bankrupt with a lot of balls in the air

    the stockholders went bankrupt he had taken the casinos public probably knowing that was the best way to make money from them
    Again do you suppose Trump is worth anything other than taking broke casinos public?

    I don’t suppose he is worth much. I think he is notorious for not paying his debt obligations. And I would agree that his lenders are to afraid to ask.

    Well put Ricardo, since this is not banking class, that is pretty much where he wants the lenders to be, I understand that rather than pay some of the casino debt he filed a brief with the bankrutpcy court claiming a force majeure as a result of the financial collapse

    Well I have been a wrestling fan for many years and have watched the WWE for many years as well. I know that it is not real but I enjoy the entertainment. I mean come on these guys still throw their bodies around which means that you have to be in great shape to do that. How many of us can pick up a guy throw him against the ropes or onto the mat and repeat for as many times as they do. I dont think very many people can do that. The WWE has always drawn thousands of crouds to their events. It is a lucrative business and the Donald knows that. I mean you cant attibute his success to bad business decisions. The guys is a genius when it comes to business

    This is amazing to me. This is about ratings and nothing more. WWE has been going down hill for several years and this is just to help reboot. Trump really didnt by Raw.

    I never liked the WWE, but from what the facts I have noticed that the sport has been going not that well. The WWE has been drawn from many fans from all over. As for Trump and I would have to say that his ‘macho’ monies and his successful to bad decisions should just forget about it. By all means, I don’t think Trump is not worth as much as he think he really is.

    Trump has been a “rags to riches” kind of opportunist. All his philosophy has been on hype, promotions, and motivations. The people that make money see these type of diversions and invest in them. By featuring low cost entertainment you will become a self made millionaire by promoting sad situations and make everyone feel better. Even when its just a few hours of enjoyment, you can still make money when almost everthing is falling down. Trump always looks for the good bargains like WWE to compound one dollar into ten dollars in many situations.

    Must be really nice to be able to just snap your finger and buy WWE. But hey, if you have the money then why not right. Does anyone think the ratings are going to plummet or skyrocket??

    I would guess WWE ratings will rise, hard to skyrocket from here but we shall see, movies were big in the depression for a few cents you could to inside and escape the depression for ninety minutes. WWE offers the same sort of thing coupled with a sort of rage revenge scenario that plays out in the good guy bad guy tag team wrestling match. This will likely resonate with the audience that grows more restless over job losses, this is what the get the big guys and their salaries is all bout, Obama is tag teaming corporate America, hmm good I ought to make that a blog post.
