I was a customer of Blockbuster, but now that I have U-Verse I can rent a movie from my TV, and this fee will be added to my next month’s bill, which I like very much. I don’t have to worry about the movie (DVD) having scratches and skips pieces of the movies to the point I could not see the movie. More consumers are now renting movies through U-Verse because it’s convenient and we don’t have to rush to drop the movie at Blockbuster. Netflix will probably be next too, right now it’s conveneint to those consumers who do not have cable and can afford Netflix because they do offer better deals than what Blockbuster did.

Blockbuster needs people “who think out side the box” if it wants to be a profitable company. If any company does not change for the future then this of course will lead to a Net Loss on their Income Statement. Blockbuster needs to look to iTunes, where you can download one song for about 0.99 cent. Blockbuster could have an Internet side where a customer can down a movie for certain price but the download movie will have an expired date. This is the future of business, called “E-Commerce.”
