Here is a description of the Spring 2012 show Touch starring Keifer Sutherland.
The plot is pure Stephen King fantasy psycho kinetic thriller. He sounds a bit like the girl in Firestarter or Danny in The Shining. Touch features an autistic son who only communicates mathematically.
I don't see a start date but as per my previous superhero post, this show should do well.
I did not quite understand why you posted this, but after you explanation in class yesterday, I started to realize the significance. It is very interesting to see the repetitive patterns and cycles that exist over the course of history and how “the mood of the people”in perspective to the happenings of the times, determine what is popular. We yearn for the feelings we have to be expressed similarly in our “escape from reality”:ie tv shows, movies, plays,ect. When the character can conquer the problem, it seems to give the people hope. Just as you explained in your expectations on “Touch” and the peoples response someone getting past a disablity to help those around him.
