An alert student spotted this article on Unlimited Vactaions. Some companies have experimented with a half day off on Fridays to let employees perform various duties of a personal nature. I have not seen this practice before however.
When I moved to West Texas in the 1970s long term employees of major oil companies had six weeks vacation a year, an interesting perk.
