An interested student came by this morning intereted in an accounting club.
I taught at Tx State and here is the link to their accounting club. It meets Thursday afternoon at 5 PM when non accounting classes are scheduled. About 40 students would attend when I was there. And that is out of 600-700 total accounting enrollment. Understand that there are hundreds of apartments and dorm rooms within walking distance of the Business Building. They have in resident students.
And that is the rub. When and where would we meet that would result in enough students attending to make a speaker visit worthwhie.both ways? Most of our students work and start class at 5 30. So a 5 00 PM class is out. We have few to no students in the day time.
The result is that I usually have speakers come to class. I am open to constructive suggestions on how we could have enough people attend at a ttime when a room and speakers are available.
After observing students at HEB night I do think we need to adopt a specific definition of
