Bob McConnell  received a two year prison sentence for accepting a bribe of $177,000. His wife also faces sentencing. I will grant you $175 K is not pocket change but if you are risking your career, one would think that would require enough money to simply disappear and never work again. From that standpoint this is not enough money to buy most houses any more.

I am always amazed at teh fairly  small sums of money which can lure people into fraudulent schemes.
