This author points out that just having an ISO standard does not make for qulality. Once again, it is the tone at the top that matters. If management does not mean it, it will not happen.

That comment about just wanting the certificate to hang in the office is just about spot on. You really can’t blame the tool. My company right now is big on Lean Six Sigma… I have not had the pleasure of attending the class, but my manager has and she is now a Green belt. I will be going to a yellow belt class but that is just to get to know the terms and “what not”, more of an over view of what Lean Six Sigma is.
