On Thursday, November 15, 2018 we will be having our next networking dinner meeting. For both sessions, Lawrence Coffee and Mike Lovelace from Aventine Hill Partners will be discussing Business Intelligence and the amazing kinds of actionable information available to executives and leaders via desktop dashboards.
Microsoft Power BI is the topic. As we all know Excel is a big deal in the business world, It is a highly desired skill set for business in any industry. Power BI combines the functionality of Power Query and Power Pivot with Excel.
Many believe this is where the future is headed. It's used for data analytics, predictive analytics and trends. This wold be a great opportunity for Academics and Students to be introduced to a new system that many believe will be an integral part of business just as Excel is today.
I encourage you to share this with your students. We will be inviting local recruiters and professional members will also be available to network with. We are striving to have two to three students from each campus attend. This is the best way we can continue to provide resources to students.
