Johnny Knifer Talent Acquisition Recruiter spoke to my BUAD 3191 class today.

 

Harland Clarke is the company that probably printed your checks for your account at your bank. That business is fading so HC is diversifying into other fields.

Data mining is now  a primary focus of HC. HC has acquired numerous companies but remains a private company.  Their headquarters in SA is on La Cantera Parkway opposite the Cantera shopping center.

HC will be hiring 20-25 interns for summer  2019.  They are inviting two school, UTSA and Tx A & M SA for the externship experience March 21 at their offices.

The students will be assigned teams and case studies.  First there is an orientation session where the students meet one another and the staff at HC.  Then they break into teams and learn the assignment. HC personnel observe how the students interact with one another.  The group gathers again for lunch and a keynote address from an HC veteran. Presentations are also made by former interns who now work there.  Then the teams finalize their presentations. About three PM the presentations begin. This gives both HC and the students ample time to evaluate one another.
