Texas A & M University San Antonio will sponsor the symposium  Entrepreneurial Spirit: South Texas Women in Business.  The inaugural event will occur

Friday November 1, 2019. It will be held in the Vista Room  with its spectacular view of the drive  from South Loop 410 into Campus.  The Vista Room (402)  is located on the Fourth Floor of the Central Academic Building.  Women are in the news more than ever which makes this an ideal topic for our new annual event.  The event is open to both men and women.

The fee is modest at $30 per attendee or $240 for a table of eight.   That includes morning coffee and a light lunch.

Alyssa Hayden

Alyssa Hayden is CEO of he Socionomics Institute.  The Institute promotes the study of Socionomics which explains that changes in endogenous social mood activate social change.   She studied education and culture while teaching at  at the University of Oregon where she received her Masters Degree.

Dr. Amy Porter

Dr. Amy Porter was be inducted into the Texas A&M University System annual Chancellor's Academy of Teacher Educators in  2015. Dr. Porter, an author and avid researcher of colonial America and women’s history.  She authored Heir Lives, Their Wills: Women in the Borderlands, 1750 – 1846.
