Bernie says it is time for Wall Street to bail out student borrowers

Expect the 20+ Dem Presidential candidates to out do one another in offering schemes to eliminate student debt, and attract those student voters.

Bernie says the problem is that the Federal Govt has not stepped in and helped students.

This is grossly incorrect. The Feds have stepped in only to help universities raise fees and tuition with no downside or risk to the school whatsoever.  And the real tragedy

if a college degree (notice it iis always a generic degree, never s specific one) is so valuable, why do so many students have difficulty repaying hhe loan. The answer is that far too many  degrees simply do not deliver the job ready skills to meet the debt payments. And that is the tragedy.

And  now a question, if Bernie et al are going to wipe out existing college debt, what about the debt currently being pile up by those enrolled in college?  Doe s that get wiped out the day the student graduates?

KPMG has actually admitted fraud, for once, in bribing PCAOB officials as to which audits would be examined.

Then top officials cheated on their own internal audit CPE exams. As one comment states, shy didn't the SEC kick them out of public audits for a while.

We have followed the travails of WFC in the last few ethics classes. Now WFC has agreed to pay $400 M to settle fraudulent insurance charges.

Also WFC is having trouble finding anyone who will agree to be the CEO, no wonder.

Memorial Day Weekend May 27, 2019

Am I going anywhere in June?  Well not very far, we decided to vacation in San Antonio. People come from all over to be here and we already are. First stop, the Japanese Tea Garden.

Originally constructed in 1915 in a rock quarry, the Parks Foundation has re furbished this gem.

    P1010264

    P1010265

    P1010267

    P1010268

    P1010272

What is a Japanese Garden Pool without Koi (japanese carp) ?

We then retreated to the https://www.bombaybicycleclubsa.com/ just a block west on St Mary's.  A unique holdover from what used to be a nation wide franchise.

    P1010275

What could be more kitsch than an Alberto Vargas imitation?

    P1010276\\

The place is packed with all sorts of collectible memorabilia, here is a sample.

I never have quite understood the murals of animals playing cards but here is one for the record books.See below.

Bombay is on St Mary's just west of US 281, the Garden is another block down the street. Bombay is very casual, burgers, beer, appetizers and such. She had a burger and I had the turkey avocado bacon, we had to split each and bring the other half home in a carry out. Cheap thrills, stay tuned for more vacation fun in SA.
