Jimmy's Egg is anothe innovation iover coming the long hours of most restaurants. Screen Shot 2016-07-21 at 11.55.10 AM

This franchise is typically located in a a suburb in a low cost by pleasant location. They only offer breakfast and lunch in a sit down waitress oriented fashion. This solves the help problem and limits the menu.

Lunch is pretty standard burgers, sandwiches along with traditional chicken fried steak and such.

Breakfast reminds me of the sort of Chinese menu  in that you can  build your own breakfast.

Again this is another example of a business plan which eliminates a lot of problems.

    Hello! Is this Gordon's Pizza?
    No sir, it's Google Pizza.
I must have dialed a wrong number. Sorry.
No sir, Google bought Gordon’s Pizza last month.
OK. I would like to order a pizza.
Do you want your usual, sir?
    My usual? You know me?
According to our caller ID data sheet, the last 12 times you called you ordered an extra-large pizza with three cheeses, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and meat balls on a thick crust.
    OK! That’s what I want …
May I suggest that this time you order a pizza with ricotta, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and olives on a whole wheat gluten free thin crust?
    What? I detest vegetables.
Your cholesterol is not good, sir.
How the hell do you know?
Well, we cross-referenced your home phone number with your medical records. We have the result of your blood tests for the last 7 years.
Okay, but I do not want your rotten vegetable pizza! I already take medication for my cholesterol.
Excuse me sir, but you have not taken your medication regularly. According to our database, you only purchased a box of 30 cholesterol tablets once, at Drugsale Network, 4 months ago.
I bought more from another drugstore.
That doesn’t show on your credit card statement.
    I paid in cash.
But you did not withdraw enough cash according to your bank statement.
I have other sources of cash.
That doesn’t show on your last tax return unless you bought them using an undeclared income source, which is against the law.
    WHAT THE HELL?
I'm sorry, sir, we use such information only with the sole intention of helping you.
Enough already! I'm sick to death of Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and all the others. I'm going to an island without internet, cable TV, where there is no cell phone service and no one to watch me or spy on me.
I understand sir, but you need to renew your passport first. It expired 6 weeks ago.

See my newspaper column posted yesterday.  I suspect energy prices will bottom and shares rebound over the next three months or so. But are we seeing some signs of that now?

    Bullish Percent

Screen Shot 2017-06-17 at 7.05.41 AM

At bottom the PMO, a Decision Point indicator much like MACD, is rising. In the main panel the downtrend line has now turned at least sideways.  As noted in the newspaper column, price is once again testing the year long $45 support.

Weekly Bullish Percent or what happened in February 2016

Screen Shot 2017-06-17 at 7.11.01 AM

I placed MACD behind the price chart, This makes fore a busy graph but it also makes another thing cleara. MACD peaked along with PMO way back in April 2016. The

bullish percent has been correcting for over a year! Now PMO in the lower panel looks to be bottoming as does MACD. And the actual BP indicator is making a slightly higher low than in February 2016.   The MACD histogram is also rising.  All this is encouraging as a first sign of bottoming. And note this is a weekly chart.

    Weekly XLE Energy ETF

Screen Shot 2017-06-17 at 7.26.12 AM

The same thing is apparent here. In the main panel MACD looks to be turning sideways.  The histogram is turning up. AT bottom is PMO trying to bottom at the zero line?  It looks that way to me.  At top OBV appears to be turning up. It seems reasonable to expect that the big oil producers will attract some buying as the media still wrings hands over the glut of oil and low prices.

    XES Energy Service

Screen Shot 2017-06-17 at 7.24.02 AM

All indicators will not turn at the same time. And so Energy Service is clearly in a weaker position. MACD and PMO are both still falling. The histogram is not moving up. Price over shot the 17level to 15.86. Here is substituted on balance volume at top, no interest in the market to buy XES. So that indicator needs to pick up.

Verizon closed on its $4.4 B acquisition of Yahoo this week. The new President, Marissa Mayer, unable to turn the company into a Google or FB, did arrange the sale.

Yesterday I completed my required ethics class for maintaining my CPA certificate. The presenter mentioned several fraudsters who literally stole money from investors or their company.

But a more interesting question to me is the situation of people like Marissa. She walks away with a $23 million package of cash and equity. But 2,000 employees at Yahoo get laid off.

    Where is their parachute?

Her reward works out to #1,150 per employee laid off. Where is the equity in that?  I mean most anyone could have hawked Yahoo to another internet company or phone company as she did. Was that really so difficult?  Was it worth $23 million?

Carly Fiorina was similarly criticized for the lay offs at Compaq while CEO of HPQ.

Design, Implementation & Automation – Revenue Recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15
While the new revenue recognition standard is an accounting-based driver for change, the impact of the standard extends across the company. A company's technology landscape, or application architecture, is a critical component of the overall assessment to ensure completeness of the eventual solution.

In this webcast, you will gain an understanding of how to effectively transition from an accounting assessment to the design and implementation phase of the project. Regardless of where you are in your revenue recognition implementation, you'll gain new insights to help your organization achieve compliance.

The session will also include a high-level presentation and demo on how RevPro, Leeyo's flagship RevRec software, can fit the needs of companies who are looking to automate their revenue processes.
