In 2005 hNatalee Holloway disappearred in Aruba.

Her attacker was later arrested and imprisoned in Peru. Finally extradited to the US he admitted his guilt. She was 19. Now  two Moms from Kentucky away without their family are attached in tehe Bahamas.

There are bad actors everywhere waiting to take advantage of the unaware.

Check out Jeff Cooper's combat mindset and color code.

Natalee and the two women were operating  in Condition White, unaware of their surroundings.  I iinclude Mr. Cooper's color code in my Conquer College ppt.

Always be aware of y our surroundings. Thee most innocent inididividual like the guy who offered the women a two  f or one drink deal may be stalking you.

This year MCD focus is affordability.

The company has taken criticism for jacking up menu prices that have turned off some customers. The New York Post reported in July that a McDonald's at a Connecticut rest stop was charging $18 for a Big Mac combo meal.

McDonald's said its global same-store sales in the last quarter had grown 3.4%, falling short of the 4.7% Wall Street was expecting. Kempczinski also said some customers have stopped eating at McDonald's as inflation has caused prices to jump.

"Eating at home has become more affordable," Kempczinski said. "The battleground is certainly with that low-income consumer."

Company hopes 'Best Burger' initiative helps increase sales

The company announced the 'Best Burger' initiative last year, but it has finally reached all of their locations in the U.S.

The goal of the initiative was to make small tweaks to the company's burgers to create a more flavorful product.

“Our goal was to enhance the quality and the flavor and the overall eating experience of our core burgers, but we wanted to stay true to the tastes that everyone loves,” McDonald’s U.S. Chief Restaurant Officer Mason Smoot said at a media event on Monday, according to CNBC.

Some of these improvements include softer sandwich buns, which are toasted golden brown, "perfectly melted cheese," and a "juicier, caramelized flavor from adding white onions to the patties while they're still on the grill," the company told USA TODAY last year. Big Macs will also be served with more sauce.

For decades MCD has braged it sold billions of burgers, but they never claimed it was a great burger.

Now MCD is making that very claim.

Will Wall Street and patrons literally buy into the story?

In ACCT 2302 we study managerial accounting which includes Dr. Edward Deming's Total Quality Management concept.

Now MCD is going for quality,

MCD claims to have made small changes in the cooking process.  The Japanese word for this is Kaizen, and this is seen in their auto production. I am driving a  20009 Toyota RAV 4. The  2024 version is little different other than to have a vertial hinge rear door instead of horizontal. The RAV4 is not Toyota's best seller.

    ______________

Enter McDonald’s “Best Burger” initiative: small tweaks to the chain’s burgers that create a noticeably more flavorful product.

“Our goal was to enhance the quality and the flavor and the overall eating experience of our core burgers, but we wanted to stay true to the tastes that everyone loves,” McDonald’s U.S. Chief Restaurant Officer Mason Smoot said at a media event on Monday.

McDonald’s didn’t change the beef patty itself, but rather the cooking and assembly processes. The grills give the patties a little more breathing room as they cook. For more flavor, only six are cooked at a time, down from eight.

Onions, too, are added before the patties are cooked so they can soak up the patty’s juices. The cooked patties are kept hotter, so the overall burger is still warm by the time it reaches the customer. The cheese is melted better, the buns are upgraded and Big Macs receive more of their special sauce.

Continuing out theme that big things happen at market tops, a Delaware Judge calls Musk pay package unfath omable

    •
    WILMINGTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) – A Delaware judge tossed out Elon Musk's record-breaking $56 billion Tesla (TSLA.O)
, opens new tab pay package on Tuesday, calling the compensation granted by the EV maker's board "an unfathomable sum" that was unfair to shareholders.
Shares of Tesla dropped about 2% in premarket trade, and some investors seized on the ruling in hopes it might prompt Tesla to overhaul its governance.
The Tesla board has been criticized as failing to provide oversight of its combative, headline-making CEO, who has fought regulators and led several other companies at the same time.

Musk reaction is to re locate TSLA headquarters out of Delaware to Texas.

Click here for the story and photos.

Like RC's Icon of the Seas, biggest ever projects appear amid maximum positive social mood. .

Six Flags is build ing the world's largest roller coaster in Saudi Arabia.

Originally known as a "super coaster" we now know that Exa coaster is the name given to a roller coaster over 600ft. It seems somewhat ridiculous to be naming a 600ft+ height roller coaster when we haven't even got a name for a 500ft+ roller coaster. These heights have certainly never been reached before.

Currently the world's tallest roller coaster is Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure which stands at 139m or 456ft. Falcon's Flight will be another 56m taller, standing at 195m or 640ft. As we know not only will Falcon's Flight be the tallest roller coaster in the world by a huge amount but it will also be the fastest and the longest and will feature the biggest drop of any roller coaster in the world.

The top speed of Falcon's Flight has now been released by Intamin as 250km/h or 155mph meaning it will take the world record from Formula Rossa at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi which hits a top speed of 240km/h or 150mph.

Falcon's Flight will also be the world's longest roller coaster at 4250m, thus taking the record from The Steel Dragon 2000 located at Nagashima Spa Land amusement park in Mie Prefecture, Japan which measures 2,479m in length.

The video released by Intamin at the IAAPA event this week in Orlando looks absolutely amazing and shows a very smooth roller coaster gliding along the track. The highlight will surely be the drop off at the top of the cliff and then the unbelievable free standing airtime hill which is now expected to be 640ft and dominate the park.

The station will feature a dual loading station to aid with capacity and will be running 6 trains with 14 riders per train. The trains have a windscreen on the front which is essential for a roller coaster in the desert to protect riders from the sand. This means that safety googles will not be required.

The basic layout of Falcon's Flight will will include three LSM launches. As the train comes out of the station riders will experience the first launch with the roller coaster twisting and turning with air time moments to get the train to the bottom of cliff where the second LSM launch will propel guests at 100mph up to the top of cliff bringing you very close to the ground before swooping round in preparation for biggest drop ever seen on a roller coaster.

On this vertical drop, guests will reach speeds of 155mph then through a tunnel into a further drop then the third and final launch will keep the roller coaster going at 155mph to get the train to the top of the tallest airtime hill which was rumored to be 513ft tall and is now expected to be an unbelievable height of 640ft. Riders are guaranteed floater airtime over the top, particularly if you are riding at the back.

The final section of Falcon's Flight will see more twists and turns and further airtime moments before hitting the brake run. It will not feature any inversions. From the new off ride video footage you really get a clear idea of what guests can now look forward to when Falcon's Flight opens at Six Flags Qiddiya. Let us know your thoughts on Falcon's Flight by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.

The biggest ever projects occur at market tops amid wild any thing goes optimism.  Royal Caribbean's  2,000 foot long ship which accomodates near  10,000 passengers and crew

    fits this description perfectly.

    Screenshot 2024-02-03 at 2.49.23 AM

Picture this: Twenty stories, more than 50 dining experiences, seven pools, over 2,800 staterooms and a capacity of 5,610 guests (plus staff!). Add to this an expansive two-level shopping promenade and a reimagined Central Park (complete with 30,000 living plants and trees), and you'll very quickly forget you’re on a boat once you board the Icon of the Seas. The ship itself is 1,198 feet long and 250,800 GT (gross tonnage; or the internal volume), making it over five times as large as the Titanic (which was 46,328 GT).

During its first year in service, the giant vessel will operate year-round seven-night sailings from Miami to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Icon's least expensive 2024 sailing currently starts at almost $2,590 a person.

At about $370 per person a day, sailing on Royal Caribbean's new product costs as much as some premium cruise lines.
