    Disney Loses on Streaming Lays Off 7,000

    Even mighty Disney makes mistakes.

     

    Disney’s streaming service, “Disney+,” lost 2.4 million subscribers and the company announced a massive restructuring, an earnings report released on Wednesday revealed.

    The company claims their streaming service, which launched in 2019, lost 2.4 million subscribers. This total is not as severe as some analysts expected, as the streamer recently raised the price of its monthly subscription from $7.99 to $10.99, and were expected to lose more than three million subscribers, according to CNBC.

    Disney also announced a massive restructuring which will seek to cut $5.5 billion in expenses and will result in 7,000 employee layoffs, Variety reported. The restructuring will reorganize Disney into three lanes: Entertainment, ESPN, and Parks, Experiences, and Products.

    The workers they bribed have already plead guilty.

    Investigations are underway into whether three San Antonian businessmen bribed government employees to secure contracts valued at more than $140 million, a report from Guillermo Contreras of the San Antonio Express-News revealed. Two of the men — whose identities were confirmed by the Express-News through public records, Freedom of Information Act requests, and law enforcement sources — are former Fiesta royalty, and all three are related.

    Credit Suisse to Bring Back First Boston in Public Offering

    CS is still reeling from its $5 B + loss in Archegos.

    Not many want its stock now priced at $3.557 or  30% of book value.

    So what to do, how does CS raise captial?

    CS bought First Boston in 1988.

    First Boston was a legendary investment banking name having begun at the depths of the Depression in  19+32. That purchase put CS in the investment banking business.

    Now CS plans to brig back the FB name and go public with it. That worked spinning Ferari off Fiat, but we will see if itworks here. CS needs some good news in the worst way.

    Every day Yahoo.com features another 'acress or singer' in a barely there outfit, Sorts Illustrated 'swimsuit' models have been a favorite.

    Today we have someone named Indgrid Andress (undress?) posing and being interviewed at the Grammys.

    Can anyone imagine  Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynne, Dolly Parton or even Reba McIntire in such a get up? Fashion gets frisky at market peaks and the one just now occurring in the NASD

    is signified by this dare to be bare trend. She has been nominated four times, I examined the list of winners and did not see her name.  thirty five years ago such outfits were common with rock and rap singers, now the trend has  moved to so called country.
