    I received this e mail from Ankur Chopra, one of our Accounting  Instructors.  Apparently EY is actively seeking new hires. Prof Chopra suggests you send your resume to this student. Internal referrals get a better chance of being hired.

    One my students, Ms. Baylea Perez, in my Intermediate Accounting class was recently hired by Ernst & Young. EY is looking to hire more candidates for their San Antonio office. 
     
    I wanted to share Ms. Perez's email with you all so you may share it with your students. Interested students can reach out to Ms. Perez by sending in their resume to baylea.perez@ey.com. The likelihood of receiving an interview and potentially a job is much greater through internal referrals.

    Understand that EY is one of the Big Four CPA firms. Their office is downtown SA . I do not know if they are working remotely or whether this is audit or tax.  Be sure to ask if you are required to work downtown in formal wear like  suit and tie.

    Meet Valentina Sevchenko

    Valentina is the current UFC Women's Flyweight Champion. sh is interviewed by Scott Volquartsen.

    Scott owns a firearms parts company that improves on factory weapons.

    Scott's version runs 34 minutes here Joe Rogan interview runs  7.39 minutes.

     

    Valentina started training at age 5 along wither sister.

    What is interesting is her intense focus on what ever she does, learning to pilot a boat on Puget Sound or her sister becoming an airplane pilot.

    Quote-You have to completely focus on what you are doing.

    Clearly English is a her second language.On you tube is says her overall record is  55 wins 1 loss. There are things to learn from such a person.

    Recall that when I wrote Conquer Accounting I point to a female tennis champ, a boxer, a classical pianist, and the manager of a auto racing team. Different fields but they all have the same advice, practice and concentrate.

    Make no mistake attempting to pass a certified exam is a fight not only with your self, that is the topic of the interview, as well as competing with everyone else sitting for the exam.

    The amazing thing about lightweight boxers of any kind thsi is kick boxing is the fantastic speed with which they move.
