Here is another few of what we teach in accounting. I would agree that too much of the curriculum assumes that one is going to work in public accounting for a CPA firm or a pulicly owned company.

I agree. In fact, I would think a large percentage of accounting students dont end up in accounting firms at all. I never even considered that possibility. My whole undergraduate path I have looked at it as learning what an audit firm will look for in auditing my work at a company.
