I do understand that at the end of the day the bottom line and profit will matter in order to continue on but at the same time, after reading the article, it stated that all these plans or solutions were now being considered because City Manager Sculley is attempting to cut costs in the city’s budget due to declining revenue and the economy…It did lose 227k but what would happen if the Market Place was sold to a third party? What would it turn into? What would be built there? Would it be turned into a more commercial area with a Starbucks or something? I don’t know why they let it get to this point and not take preventative measures ahead of time so that the city wouldn’t have to be making decisions like this…

So many functions go on at the Market Square and the city loses over 200k. Leave it to Mrs. Sculley and her team to do the research and find alternatives. If it means selling out to a third party so be it. It’s been a while since I’ve heard any negative information on the river barge contract…..

The answer to your question about why did they wait?
Everybody’s money is nobody’s money, without stockholders no one is asking questionsLikeLike
