Okay, how many of the Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Texas?

If you guessed 113, move to the head of the class!  We will have each student pick a Texas based company for a report in both Intermediate II and Cost class this summer, how about focusing on San Antonio companies first?  My thinking is that we should be building an information base for use in selecting internships.

93 are currently in New York state, gee what does that tell us….

Search by state here.

This is awesome for Texas and us as students. These companies can create great opportunties for us as they grow.

I was trying to get an internship with NuStar and probably would want to do my report on them.

An excellent idea, this is precisely what I had in mind, if we are going to work here in SA,let’s start a database of companies that we and succeeding classes can use for information.

that was shocking to see. I could have swear on life that Calli had so much more. Its strange though. Well that could change at some point in time. They may have more here but I would say the ones in CA are much more widely known around the world.

I thnk XOM and Conoco have had a presence for quite a while around the world, my Dad worked for Gulf Oil, the oil community is widespread but most of them cycle thru Houston and or places like Odessa Midland Tulsa Offshore Louisiana, and they have kept the oilfields of the world going since WW II
Red Adair would be an exampleof a small company here in Texas that was VERY well known
