Roger Penske Auto Group will buy Saturn from GM. Roger is one of the most successful business
guys in the auto arena period. It will be interesting to see what he dose with Satur. Chevy hobbled Satrun from the get to at GM, yet it still attracted a loyal fans. Everything that gets Roger's attention seems to succeed.
Well this is good news for all Saturn Employees-for now. That is until the company turns toward “foreign auto-makers to make his new company suceed. What this means might not necessarily be bad but what comes to mind is closing the scattered plants across the U.S. just leaving the parts warehouse open, maybe. But in all honesty, I was never a fan of this car brand but I am a fan of GM. I would rather a name like Corvette live on because a Corvette is more of an American Icon, they are in everyone’s dreams to own one. Maybe when the end is nearer for the demise of GM, they will sell that name and have it remain in an American Dream but as its own independent brand, something like Shelby American.

As you know Corvette does not fit Barack’s vision though he was driving a Chrylser 300 when the campaign started. I suspect TN will work to keep Saturn there and I suspect Penske will be open to that idea. Penske has had an American orientation, he runs in the Indy races not Formula One.
