As you know I heavily promoted SA CPa Career Night, Mike and Josh have both joined, Josh organized a meeting to coincide with last Friday's event, here are the results from Amanda Talaat, the Marketing Director.

This is simply outstanding, and shows what we can do with some promotion. The career worshop was well done. There were 4 really good speakers from different areas of accounting. It allowed for a good question and answer session afterwards that, I feel, was able to help students get an idea of what is needed to enter the profession. I was able to network with a recruiter and 2 other professionals that I have met with before. We also are getting the accounting society rolling. I will be contacting TAMUK this week to try and get a copy of their constitution and by-laws. As you mentioned, the fact that we were the second highest attending college next to UTSA is tremendous.

The showing of TAMUSA students was great. I personally enjoyed hearing from the CFO from HEB. Before the workshop began he was walking around introducing himself and asking what college we were from, etc. Really a personable guy. The workshop was well organized, appeared to run smoothly, and one of our students won a door prize! We can be a viable source in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Thanks for the info on this workshop, see you Wednesday – if not before!
