Retailers are hoping to avoid the lower sales of last season.

So called Black Fridays, sparked by the traditional big sales day after Thanksgiving, are planned for multiple Fridays.

As you read, notice another thing about this article, notice that is is accounting frims, DeLoitte and BDO that are tracking sales, establishing retail sales index, and such. Interesting, accounting is an ever larger domain, and more in the business community will look to accounting firms for business advice.

I usually hear 106.7 FM talk which may seem boring for many people, but it is very interesting. Usually from 2-5pm they have a guy called Howard Clark, financial advisor and he talks to callers with interesting questions. One of his main topics especially since we are close to the giving season, if you buy a gift card instead give the person the money instead because many times there are strings attached to that gift card that you do not notice until the person spends it. So read the fine print.
