Weekend November 3-4, 2012

The formal ground breaking for the next two buildings at the Main Campus came off as scheduled.

The day had a military theme as one building , Patriots' Casa,  will be dedicated to Military Students. All branches of the service were on hand and we were there to  commemorate the event.

PB037989By the way, has anyone  noticed the fountain?

Every trip I have made to the main campus I have never seen the fountain flowing. I guess water conservation does not apply when media is present…exactly when it should be. We should have an arts department that can come up with a simulated water flow ( Mylar, sequence, beads, other shiny material), is this fountain re-circulating? I know that most people understand why a dry fountain stands, perhaps the fountain should have had another design to it that still utilizes water but at minimum use? From the thousands of fountain ideas to those that still linger in someone’s mind, could we have not come up with something that is less attractive than a dry one is? And as for the fake stuff, I am referring to a place holder.

Honestly that is what I meant, I never noticed the fountain myself, like your comment I wonder if it has ever functioned before, and so I included it in the shots
