I literally laughed out loud when I read the title of this post. I have to admit, I have already purchased a Christmas gift from the site. For the most part, you can only get the novelty items at this website. I mean, it wasn’t until I had seen the funny side add posted on facebook that I noticed that someone was actually selling a beanie with a beard attached. I personally thought it was ridiculous yet funny, but it was only after showing a co-worker (who loved the thought of keeping your face and head warm with the same item) that I realized how genius it was. They were marketing and object made for the cold during winter, and they were advertising a novelty item on a website that is know to have many “youngsters.” They hit their target audience. They have many one of a kind items, that aren’t available in stores, their merchandise is unique and they easily bring a smile to their customers face, they even have a category titled “makes you smile.” Although the bearded beanie does seem a bit “out there”, the website does offer more “normal” items such as sports team themed wooden train toys or personalized mugs. Their website is very “user friendly” and in my opinion they have some great marketing skills. With sales constantly increasing and Christmas just around the corner, the company does have a lot of potential, who knows they just might give amazon a run for their money.
