Michigan Poised to Pass Right to Work Law

A right to work law means that one cannot be forced to join a union as a condition of employment. Most of the right to work states are in the south. As untenable work arrangements broke the auto and steel industries, foreign auto makers have located in the south. Now Michigan one of the most unionized states is poised to pass a Right to work law.     With the votes in and the measure passed, it should not take long to see if employment numbers will change for Michigan. We have lots of union family members who live in Michigan, most hate the idea of a Right-to-Work State. My nephew was hand picked by his local union leader after holding a door open for him as he left a bank. My nephews kind act earned him personal support as the leader took him under his wing, placed him in an apprentice program, gave him a job, paid his dues, and continues to help him advance. It’s a no-wonder my nephew was against this bill however we also know many that are unemployed, have lost their homes, and still look for work where jobs are hard to find. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
