Accounting & Investing Info for San Antonio A & M

I ran across a copy of the 3e of Reading Financial Reports for Dummies.
I suspect that the recent major changes in accounting like Revenue Recognition, Leasing, Audit Reports, will limit the usefulness of the Schaums review series. However the Dummies book above is quite handy addressing both accounting and finance issues. I plan to make it mandatory for the fall for intermediate students. It is available for 12.925 in the Kindle Edition.
Getting out in the corporate world I wish we had covered more SEC regularly filed forms/reports(10K, 10Q, 11K, 8K etc) and the dreaded SEC Comment Letters in our Acct classes at TAMUSA. Just my .02

This semester I am requiring students to comment on annual reports regarding what we are studying in class. Good points all Ed. Where are you working now?
