Ford Motor is using a robot dog to measure its facilities.

When Ford needs to re fresh a large facility to make another product, it was using a human to move a tripod with 360 degree cameras. It estimated that cost  300K. Now it is leasing a robot dog to do the job. Expect more of this for routine tasks in the future.
