That is worrisome in itself. This is the White House Competition Council. What would a bunch of bureaucrats know about business competition?
Expect more Obama type regulation which led to the slowest recovery in history.
The SEC is designed to protect investors, but it seems that their main goal now is to protect the banks. I have not been very happy with the way they have been handling the cryptocurrency space over the last year. I would not be surprised if the SEC is targeting the crypto companies and these competitive-practices because one or more banks are being adversely affected by a program that puts power in the retail-investors hands.
