The IRS already has your W2, 1099s, and now stock trades, so why do we have to do that again?

    Because…currently, it is Federal law.

    Well yes but it would save immense amounts of time and money if the IRS used the information it has to do so, send to taxpayer and if no disagreement, that return is now filed
