San Antonio former lawyer Chris Pettit has surrendered his law license to the Texas Supreme Court. He is facing multiple lawsuits for looting client accounts and moving money to his own use.

What a disgrace to the profession. In this case, Chris had a license to steal, I mean “misappropriate” funds, but got caught. The price of intentional misappropriation is the loss of your profession. All the effort exerted in obtaining an education, credentialing and/or certifications are worthless due to a lapse of judgement, albeit repeatedly.
